CDL Driver

West Chester OH

6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Local CDL Driver to join our team in West Chester Ohio. This position involves driving company vehicles within the local area delivering goods to warehouses and ensuring timely accurate and safe transportation of products. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the local roadways maintain a high standard of customer service and adhere to all safety regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Safely operate a commercial vehicle Class A CDL for local deliveries and pickups.
Transport products to various destinations within Cincinnati.
Ensure timely deliveries and pickups maintaining a clear understanding of delivery schedules.
Load and unload goods as necessary ensuring proper handling and securement.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and in good working condition.
Maintain accurate delivery logs records of hours worked and other required paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
Follow all local state and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service including professional interaction with clients upon delivery.
Report any accidents injuries or vehicle damage promptly.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized truck and equipment.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status potential delays and route changes.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

Valid CDL Class A drivers license.
Clean driving record with no major violations.
At least 1-2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle (local route experience is a plus).
Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Strong knowledge of local roadways and traffic patterns in the Cincinnati area.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required by company policies.

Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to manufacturing machinery and potentially noisy conditions. The temperature inside a warehouse can vary. Some warehouses are climate-controlled while others may not be.

Physical Requirements

The employee will frequently lift on average 30lbs throughout the course of a shift ability to lift up 50 lbs occasionally. The employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee will be required to frequently bend and/ or twist throughout the course of a shift. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are often necessary especially for tasks like for assembly of smaller components.
