Responsible for preparing and cooking food items in specific sections or stations within the kitchen.

Essential Functions
-Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes portion sizes and quality standards.
-Take ownership of a specific station or section within the kitchen such as grill sauté pantry or pastry.
-Utilize a variety of cooking techniques such as grilling frying baking roasting and sautéing to prepare dishes.
-Assist in the execution of menu items ensuring that dishes are prepared accurately consistently and with attention to detail.
-Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and hygienic working environment.
-Monitor inventory levels of ingredients notify supervisors of shortages and assist in placing orders as needed.
-Keep workstations equipment and utensils clean organized and sanitized.
