Job Summary

St. Margaret Catholic Church located in Bel Air Maryland seeks candidates for a Junior Sacristan. The Sacristan is responsible for overseeing preparations for liturgical celebrations the day-to-day care and maintenance of liturgical vessels vestments church furnishings and decorative objects. This is a part-time position working 7 hours weekly.

Essential Functions

Leads the preparation of liturgical celebrations.
Maintains good order in the sacristy.
Arranges books and binders for weekend Mass.
Trained to operate sound system.
Locks church after worshipers have departed.

Position Qualifications

Must be at least 14 years of age.
Practicing Catholic in good standing with The Church
General knowledge of the Catholic Church; including sacraments
Knowledge of the parts of Mass or willingness to learn and be an integral part of Mass
Dependable
Ability to work independently
Ability to project a courteous warm and welcoming image
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Range: $15.00 Hourly
