This position works out of our Casa Grande Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. WHAT YOULL Work On

Provide vision strategyand leadership for plant operations and maintenance to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality customer satisfaction delivery serviceand manufacturing capability to accomplish plant division and corporate goals at competitive costs.

Major Responsibilities:

• Partner with Quality Assurance in implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system
• Assures compliance to all procedures and policies concerning all areas of quality regulatory safety and human resources
• Initiates and implements actions to maximize profits by containing expenses through improved operating and cost efficiencies
• Develops approvesand meets financial budgets plansand updates
• Recruits trains develops rewards and recognizes personnel to achieve targeted strategies and goals
• Creates the appropriate organization structure to reflect and achieve current/planned goals and objectives
• Ensures performance quality cost schedule profit and customer satisfaction targets are achieved with risks identified and mitigated and opportunities exercised
• Establishes interfaces with Divisional/Corporate management to assess customer needs and assures accurate project or program technical direction for operations engineering and manufacturing
• Assists in new product launches production and engineering improvements product testing etc.
• Assures timely and relevant communications to and from all levels (this includes assuring communications between affected reporting areas and to related departments)
• Responsible for establishing systems that would enhance intra- and inter-departmental communications
• Coaches developsand mentors direct staff
• Conducts performance reviews anddevelops growth plans;interprets implements and supports employee-related policies procedures and programs
• Assigns projects/tasks to direct staff
• Responsible for recruitment selection development and retention of employees
• Develops strategic plans and objectives in accordance with overall Plant and Division strategy; executes business plans through functional reports while providing leadership coaching and direction
• Works closely with peer Plant and Division personnel to develop plans/focus to assure continuous improvements that will benefit Operations
• Provides leadership and valuable participation in team activities that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the Plant
• 3 direct reports and 125 indirect reports
• less than 20% travel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING

Required

• Bachelors Degree inEngineering Business Operations orSciencepreferably.M.B.A. desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in a variety of roles in manufacturing to include significant experience in management/supervision
• This position requires excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a team environment adaptable to change able to manage competing priorities excellent analytical and problem solving skills excellent written and verbal communication skills and sense of business savvy
