About this Job
Are you an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who is passionate about elevating patient care Were looking for a dynamic and empathetic clinician to provide advanced assessment treatment and support to individuals in our care. JeffCare a program of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) comprised of two Health Centers. JeffCares goal is integration of primary care and behavioral health services to best serve the needs of the population; and empowerment of individuals to achieve improvedqualityoflifethroughtheprovisionofeffectiveservicesdeliveredinanenvironmentof integrity and respect. The Registered Nurses Advanced Practice (APRN) position requires an individual highly skilled in the implementation and provision of primary care services. The incumbent is responsible for services must comply with licensing and Council on Accreditation(COA )requirements. The individual in this position is expected to complete all required in-services/trainings in order to maintain license and to keep clinical skills current as well as adhere to all JPHSA policies JeffCare procedures and COA standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a current Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or a temporary permit.
NOTE:
The temporary APRN permit allows an APRN applicant to work in a limited capacity for up to 120 days while awaiting review for full APRN licensure by the nursing board. An APRN applicant cannot medically diagnose or medically manage patients until they are licensed and have prescriptive authority. If the APRN license is not received within the 120-day period and the permit expires the employee must be removed from the position. Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner you will
Perform direct care services specific to the scope of practice to adults children and infants in need of primary care services as follows:- Provides primary care services utilizing evidenced-based and best practices in the most appropriate and cost-effective manner;
- Provides general and preventative care conducts check-ups treats physical and behavioral health illnesses orders lab tests prescribes medication refers to specialized services as warranted by the level of need; and
- Directs support staff in referral and follow-up requirements.

Appointment Type: Probational Promotional or Job Appointment
Career Progression: This position does not participates in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule:Flexible work hours that may be outside of the traditional 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday dependent on job duties.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
