We are seeking a Cost Engineer Global Sourcing who combines technical expertise with commercial acumen and a passion for cost optimization. What Youll Do
- Perform detailed cost analysis focused on suppliers and market trends to guide procurement decisions.
- Implement target costing strategies for new product development (NPD) and ongoing projects.
- Lead benchmarking studies and market assessments to identify competitive advantages.
- Support integration of new technologies into sourcing strategies.
- Drive cross-functional cost optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Champion the Design-to-Cost approach to optimize product costs.
- Conduct supplier visits to uncover and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for stakeholders.
What Were Looking For
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Several years of professional experience; prior manufacturing engineering experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes component production and assembly.
- Proven ability to calculate and analyze component costs.
- Exceptional analytical skills initiative and assertiveness combined with team spirit.
- Independent structured work style with a high degree of reliability.
