The Systems Research Program (SRP) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Library Intern to work in our Greenwood Village CO office. The Library Intern is responsible for performing scanning and digitization work in support of a specialized national security program. The position directly supports the Manager of Information Services and the Manager of Production and Knowledge Management. Duration of internship is 4-6 months starting as soon as possible.
Primary Responsibilities
Operate scanning and book de-binding equipment with appropriate training and oversight. Upload scans using scanning software. Enter scan metadata in library software application.
Collaborate with Library manager and data entry specialist to ensure timely accurate and complete metadata entry to library software application.
Provide assistance to teammates and to external customers with questions regarding locating documents and documents searches in the library software application.
Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program.
High level foundation of administrative concepts principles and practices sufficient to perform independently duties involving eliminating conflict and duplication of work.
Must be proficient in common software particularly Microsoft Office:Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Must possess character traits of being accurate meticulous proactive efficient self-starter and a team player.
Demonstrated excellent communication organizational and writing skills
Must be US citizen.
Candidate must have current SECRET clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance.
Basic level of Chinese language reading abilities.
