Quality Control Technician
Location: Modesto CA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential to transition to permanent role)
Shift: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM
Weekly Gross: $1000
Position Overview:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated assembled sterilized inspected and tracked according to established standards. This role supports quality assurance efforts and contributes to safe and efficient instrument processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to ANSI/AAMI standards manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) and facility SOPs.
Decontaminate used surgical instruments using appropriate PPE and established protocols.
Disassemble clean reassemble and prepare complex surgical instrumentation.
Accurately assemble instrument trays and sets to meet procedural requirements.
Operate washers sterilizers and related processing equipment safely and correctly.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness function and damage prior to packaging.
Document missing or damaged instrumentation in accordance with procedures.
Maintain accurate records for sterilization cycles instrument tracking and inventory.
Handle all instruments with care to prevent loss or damage.
Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance.
Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized.
Maintain compliance with infection control and quality assurance standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supporting departments.
Recommend workflow and process improvements when appropriate.
Participate in training activities to maintain competency and certification.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
