Job Summary

Job Title: Physical Therapist

Location: Monterey CA
Schedule: Day Shift 5x8s (Flexible Schedule)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract or Temporary Assignment)

Compensation:

  • Local (within 50 miles): Up to $2400 per week

  • Traveler (outside 50 miles): Up to $3000 per week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to provide exceptional patient-centered care in an outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and the ability to design individualized rehabilitation programs that help patients regain mobility manage pain and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients physical conditions abilities and limitations.

  • Interpret evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans.

  • Develop and implement customized therapy and rehabilitation programs using diverse treatment techniques.

  • Administer prescribed physical therapy interventions to enhance strength balance and mobility.

  • Educate patients and families on proper exercise techniques home care programs and long-term wellness strategies.

  • Provide instruction on injury prevention ergonomics and ways to maintain physical health.

  • Document patient progress adjust treatment plans as necessary and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a licensed Physical Therapist (outpatient experience preferred).

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution preferred.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active California Physical Therapist License (required).

  • BLS certification (AHA preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and patient engagement skills.

  • Strong assessment critical thinking and documentation abilities.

  • Commitment to professional ethics and patient confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
