The Seasonal Clerical position provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations at the St James Farm site. This role assists staff responds to visitor needs and helps maintain organized workflows that support regular functions.
What Youll Do
- Welcome visitors and staff offering friendly assistance and clear communication.
- Respond to inquiries in person by phone and through email providing accurate information about site operations and services.
- Address concerns or complaints with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude.
- Operate open and close the locations visitor center.
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry filing record management and preparing mailings.
- Enter and process documentation such as work orders purchase orders and daily reports.
- Maintain clean organized and efficient office and common areas.
- Assist with preparing and distributing materials and resources for Natural Resources crews.
- Follow safety procedures and support a clean hazard-free work environment.
- Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere and deliver excellent customer service.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed to support site operations.
What Youll Need
- Experience in customer service retail administration or a related field is preferred.
- Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of hire.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems.
- Social and situational perceptiveness.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Coordination when dealing and working with others.
Schedule & Pay
- Hours can include Friday - Sunday and holidays 10am - 4pm (during 4 weeks of camp additional days/morning hours may be added).
- This position starts around May and works until October of 2026. This position works par-time and has flexible hours.
- $16 per hour
Work Setting
- Primarily works at a desk in the newly renovated visitor center at St James Farm.
