Join the Koopman Lumber team as a Paint Department Customer Service Representative at our Sharon location! In this dynamic role youll deliver exceptional service to our customers assist with paint mixing and product inquiries maintain an organized and inviting store environment and contribute to the success of our paint department. If youre passionate about customer service teamwork and home improvement we want you to help us create a top-notch experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting with paint selection mixing and product recommendations.
- Process customer payments accurately using the cash register including handling charge accounts and gift card sales.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure the paint department is well-stocked clean organized and safe.
- Receive and organize inbound merchandise shipments efficiently.
- Keep store displays visually appealing well-maintained and fully stocked.
- Engage with customers in person and over the phone answering inquiries about merchandise pricing promotions and store layout.
- Stay informed about products their applications pricing and new offerings to provide expert guidance to customers.
- Promote additional products related to customer purchases to enhance their experience and drive sales.
- Collaborate with outside paint sales staff to support paint operations and build relationships with professional painters.
- Operate a forklift to move or stock items (after completing required training and certification).
- Participate in company-sponsored and vendor training programs to enhance product knowledge and skills.
- Promote company events sales and promotions to customers with enthusiasm.
- Foster a positive team environment motivating colleagues and contributing to a collaborative workplace.
