NDT Quality Test Specialist (NDT Quality Test Specialist-General)

Boeing Global Services is seeking a Mid-Level NDT Quality Test Specialist for the Quality Team located in Jacksonville Florida.

This position will require up to 10% travel.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with non-destructive inspection or test techniques and certification training.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
  • Develops procedures and processes.
  • Performs tests or inspections and collects data.
  • Documents analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations.
  • Provides feedback on adverse trends.
  • Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
  • Conducts certification preparation training.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
  • NAS 410 NDT Level 2 Qualifications with a minimum of Computed / Digital Radiography (RT) along with at least one of the following NDE disciplines (Preferably both ET & UT): Ultrasonic (UT) Eddy Current (ET) Magnetic Particle (MT) Liquid Penetrant (PT)
  • 3 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3 years of DR/CR X-Ray experience and documented training

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current Radiation Safety State Card or ASNT IRRSP
  • 3 years of experience using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • MAUS experience (Mobile Automated Ultrasonic Scanner) portable c-scan system
  • Gantry C-Scan experience (AUSS or Matec TTU systems)
  • F-18 experience
  • P-8 or KC-46 experience
  • 10 years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
  • 5 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 5 years of DR/CR X-Ray experience and documented training
