Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Neuroradiology Consultant to join our clients dynamic Radiology team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in the imaging and diagnosis of conditions affecting the brain spine and nervous system. This role is essential in providing specialized knowledge to support diagnosis treatment planning and intervention for neurological and neurosurgical patients. The Neuroradiology Consultant will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams contributing to the best outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation of Neuroimaging Studies: Perform and interpret a range of imaging modalities including MRI CT angiography and advanced neuroimaging techniques (e.g. DTI perfusion imaging).
  • Consultation and Diagnosis: Provide expert opinions on complex neuroimaging cases to neurologists neurosurgeons and other referring physicians. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings (MDTs) for treatment planning.
  • Interventional Procedures: Conduct and oversee neuroradiological procedures such as spinal injections biopsies angiograms and endovascular interventions.
  • Patient Care: Ensure the highest standards of patient care through accurate diagnosis clear communication with patients and families and efficient management of diagnostic pathways.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Participate in the training and mentorship of junior radiologists radiology residents and medical students. Provide educational sessions on neuroradiological practices.
  • Research and Development: Engage in clinical research and trials contributing to advancements in neuroradiology and the broader radiology field. Present research findings at conferences and symposia.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement: Ensure the quality of imaging studies meets institutional standards. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements:

  • Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent). Fellowship in Neuroradiology is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in neuroradiology. Experience with advanced neuroimaging and interventional neuroradiology is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed to practice medicine in Country/State. Board-certified in Radiology with a subspecialty certification in Neuroradiology.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in interpreting MRI CT and other neuroimaging modalities.
    • Strong knowledge of neurological disorders and their radiological manifestations.
    • Proficient in neuro-interventional techniques.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
    • Commitment to ongoing education and clinical development.
