Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity access and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students families and educators. Our mission is grounded in closing opportunity gaps and empowering communities through high-quality culturally responsive academic support.

We offer an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools outreach programs and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Available as on-call for two hours per day Monday through Friday to accept short-notice tutoring assignments. On-call means being available during a designated window to accept short-notice tutoring assignments or provide immediate academic support if needed. Tutors are compensated for all time spent actively working with students or supporting program operations during this period.
• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students
• Tutors will have access to information about class assignments
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
• Partner with Study Smart Tutors Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
• In-person availability is required
• Complete and pass a background check which may include fingerprinting based on location.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

• Excellent rate of pay: $20 an hour during on-call. $40-$45 an hour based on relevant assignments.
