Job Summary:The Web Strategist I uses standard technical and web-centered digital marketing knowledge to manage or support college-level websites. Works under close supervision.
Additional Department Summary:The Web Strategist I is responsible for the creation and support of websites and related projects for the Barefield College of Arts & Sciences. The position is responsible for planning organizing creating and maintaining text and photo content for websites and monitoring day-to-day quality of web content including making daily updates to websites. Tasks will include writing editing and proofreading; selecting and/or editing photos; scheduling photographers for events and other photo opportunities; managing student workers; and collaborating with faculty and staff to communicate with internal audiences via multiple media.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher and some web content management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in Creative Writing English Journalism or related field. Two or more years experience writing website content or equivalent. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
