Job Summary

Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) is looking for a passionate innovative data driven analytical and results-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) Manager to support compliance activities and critical security programs with scope spanning across the Amazon AFSS we deliver internal security services that support Amazon businesses including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Twitch Whole Foods Kuiper and many more. We deliver Amazons internal security tooling for identity management permissions management access control authorization and authentication. Our services are used company-wide to ensure that Amazon services have a strong security foundation.

We are looking for an experienced Sr. TPM to manage a team of creative problem solvers who are passionate about delivering solutions that improve both user experience and security while meeting internal and external standards and compliance this role you will work across many stakeholders that deliver internal security services at Amazon to design solutions that meet global industry standards and regulatory requirements. As part of the team you will identify industry requirements evaluate compliance requests and deliver results that demonstrate the effectiveness of Amazons internal security controls. You will provide technical leadership and work with service teams and partner security teams to provide assurance to customers as well as design build and execute high-impact internal security programs. You will establish the overall program vision and implementation roadmap anticipating bottlenecks mitigating risks and balancing business needs against compliance requirements and technical constraints.


Key job responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have a strong TPM/PM background with demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational technical programs. The candidate will have a deep technical background of key security and compliance controls across a number of industry best practices. The candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills strong project management and time management skills and have a successful track record of delivering large-scale engineering programs. The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment is essential.

A day in the life
* Working closely with engineering compliance security and Legal teams to meet compliance and regulatory requirements and design compliant solutions;
* Manage scope plan work coordinate resource deployment on tasks analyze risks/develop mitigation strategies and proactively identify and resolve issues;
* Communicate with stakeholders and leadership the operational processes around Amazon security practices and how controls are implemented across the environment;
* Communicating to leadership key risks and areas of program improvement for large internal security programs as well as seek diverse opinions and coordinate improvement efforts;
* Fielding and addressing compliance information requests in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
* Provide leadership in ambiguous situations and drive stakeholders to decisions
* Operating a quality rhythm of the business for managing multiple stakeholder expectations simultaneously.

- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience in compliance audit or risk management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
