In this role you will supervise a group of Engineers and Designers (10-12) who are directly involved in all aspects of Engineering and design for equipment and facilities for a variety of mining projects. You will supervise Mechanical and Electrical/Controls Engineers Civil and Structural Engineers as well as CAD Designers who support proposals and projects with CAD drawings and modifications on mining projects throughout the Western US.

This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position based in Tucson AZ

Job Requirements:

BS Degree in Mechanical Electrical Mining Engineering or similar with 15 years experience with large/heavy mechanical systems. Mining industry experience heavily preferred.
Experience with proposals CAD drawing and Engineering reviews (AUTOCAD SOLIDWORKS SOLIDEDGE TEKLA etc.)
Knowledge and experience with large pumps hi-pressure systems check valves conveying milling and crushing or similar equipment roads plant buildings
Strong written and verbal skills site visits and vision for equipment facility and process improvements copper and gold mine experience a plus
Strong management and leadership skills and abilities
