CESA 6 is hiring a Systems Administrator join our team! This position is hybrid located in Oshkosh WI.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the highest level of support for technology systems within the agency and supported districts. Develops technology solutions from design/planning to implementation stage. Shapes agency and district policy decisions.
FUNCTIONS:
Essential Functions:
- Install configure and troubleshoot server operating systems and virtualization platforms as well as commonly used services used in agency and district environments
- Design recommend and deploy resilient modern networks
- Deploy configure and troubleshoot desktop operating systems and commonly used software used in agency and district environments
- Install and configure network infrastructure equipment such as switches routers firewalls wireless access points in commonly used configurations.
- Configure and maintain cloud-based services such as email identity management device management and other services as requested by each district or agency.
- Maintain professional behavior while maintaining and troubleshooting production systems that are used by up to thousands of users
- Maintain a good reputation as a CESA 6 technology professional in online communities
- Quickly learn and support new technology as requested by agency and member districts
- Work remotely or drive within the CESA 6 territory to work onsite in order to provide the best possible service each day
- Produce documentation for team members and customers
- Balance and prioritize responsibilities as they arise from CESA 6 and district members multitasking as needed throughout the day
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Functions:
- Use a helpdesk/ticketing system as a technician to support customers
- Host and participate in meetings with the tools commonly used by customers and agency staff
- Work with students as requested by a district or agency member to resolve a specific problem
- Provide training for district technology staff to allow them to support systems that you have implemented or to expand their professional reach
- Provide training for district teaching staff to help them as end-users to properly use the systems you have implemented or support for them.
- Maintain relationships with vendors

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge skill and/or ability to do so. Experience Education and/or Licensure:
- 3 years experience with Windows Server Operating Systems with a focus on Entra/Intue and Google Workspace roles common in small to medium organizations.
- Fluent with PowerShell
- Working knowledge of identity federation such as Azure AD
- Working knowledge of Windows Client and Windows Server OS including imaging and configuration management techniques.
- Working knowledge of common network infrastructure hardware configuration systems (command-line and GUI)
- Experience managing small to medium complexity VMWare environments. Experience with other hypervisors is valued.
- Troubleshooter-level understanding of networking protocols and standards commonly used in a Small-to-Medium sized business environment including:
- VLANs ARP
- STP
- IPv4 NAT
- DHCP DNS ICMP
- FTP HTTP SMB
- SMTP
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse work teams.
- Communicate effectively and timely verbally and in writing to a diverse audience.
- Plan organize and prioritize work.
- Problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time-management with ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines.
