Regional Flexibility Engineering is looking for a software engineer passionate about service-oriented architectures that wants to support Amazons businesses innovate quickly at scale. Come join us if you enjoy designing and building highly distributed systems that scale!
Key job responsibilities
You will solve algorithmically complex problems work on front end / back end services that scale and delight thousands of Amazon engineers with the exceptional customer experiences that you build. You will solve intriguing problems designing and building for Amazons scale. With our projects spanning across all of Amazon Stores Digital and Others (SDO) businesses you will work with AWS technologies and advise SDO teams how to setup required infrastructure. As an innovator who embraces new technology you will directly influence product design and you will be empowered to choose the highly scalable and available technology to solve complex problems. You will be supported by a large and experienced Principal Engineering community in your work with cross-cutting teams and technologies.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114800/year up to $191800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
