Description:What You Will Be Doing
The Manufacturing Engineer Level 2 (ME2) is responsible for providing planning support to all shifts identifying and resolving planning issues and developing and implementing training aids to increase the competency of the planning team. The ME2 will work closely with planning Associate Managers and planners to understand their concerns provide guidance and support and ensure compliance with planning policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning Support:
Engage with planners across multiple shifts to understand their individual constraints and planning learning issues.
Identify and resolve planning issues on a daily basis and implement learning to the lab when training planners.
2. Training and Development:
Create individualized training sessions with planners to increase their competency.
Maintain improve and deploy the training plan for new planners including on-going training and on-boarding processes.
3. Planning Issue Resolution:
Strategize planning issue resolution for both shifts and think of ways to solve work instruction issues.
Effectively communicate troubleshooting solutions to elevate planners understanding of planning systems.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
Engage with planning Associate Managers and request feedback on planning issues requiring resolution.
Build a good relationship with Associate managers to understand their concerns and drive actions to help teach planners.
5. Policy and Procedure:
Become familiar with PM9003 the main operating policy and train and advise other planners on planning-related matters.
Propose and implement edits to the planning manual and adapt Greenville procedures to align.
6. Skills and assessment improvement Coordination:
Coordinate training going forward including touching base with supervisors and coordinating availability and learning requirements per planner.
7. Process Improvement:
Create review update and maintain planning process Standard Work.
Work with the entire planning team to understand how the planning organization is built and maintain compliance to policy on all aspects.
8. RCCA Efforts:
Identify and analyze planning issues that impact schedule such as QARs and Shop Orders.
Collaborate with leadership to provide feedback on planning quality escapes.
CIF lead: continuous improvement framework efforts with planning team and facilitate CI framework with project team and senior leadership
Present status to director and CI council across enterprise production engineering .
9. Knowledge Transfer:
Build a working relationship between sites and actively communicate with other aero sites to develop a working relationship with other planning teams.
10. Resource Management:
Maintain the Planner Resource Confluence Page and create easily accessible resources for planners to use to guide day-to-day tasks.
11. Transition Support:
Support 1LMX Transition efforts as required.
Requirements:
Familiarity with PM9003 and planning-related matters.
Ability to communicate effectively with planners Associate Managers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
12. Office asset control.
Will be assigned duties (asset control) equipment and cost account responsibilities. Meeting card Purchase card Etc...

Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day 3 days off per week
