Designs creates tests and improves new innovative and existing products systems and services. Engages cross-functionally with other technical / engineering teams to define product requirements develop concepts drive production processes test prototypes and make real time adjustments to improve performance and functionality. Ensure all systems function according to design technical specifications and cost targets.
Responsibilities- Provides Development support for cross-functional / multi-disciplinary teams including vendors integrators electrical and mechanical engineers Software developers and others - to develop new product requirements.
- Contributes to product definition execution and testing.
- Helps identify and validate product risks and works with the team on mitigation strategies.
- Helps define test methodology and coverage to ensure product reliability.
- Performs engineering verification testing on next generation products interfacing with engineering and product experts to help drive new product development programs.
- Provides up-to-date accurate information to colleagues and management.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 0-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Development Engineering.
- Location: Onsite North Canton Ohio
- Travel required up to 20 % within US and international as needed basis.
- Use mechanical CAD software and business productivity tools including computers and all relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience model building in a lab hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Injection Molding and Sheetmetal design knowledge
- Mechatronics design knowledge (Mechanical with Electronics)
- Design & execute tests and technical report writing.
- Familiar with GD&T
- Requires excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
