Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Health Office of Drinking Water seeks an Environmental Engineer Senior to join the Danville Field Office (DFO) team in providing technical assistance guidance and support for public water systems to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and sustainability.
Join a team of professionals committed to protecting public health associated with treatment and delivery of drinking water to the citizens of the Commonwealth. Minimum Qualifications
1. Demonstrated knowledge of and applied experience in biology microbiology chemistry core engineering principles and quantitative analysis.
2. Established experience in exercising sound judgement and making well-informed engineering decisions.
3. Experience in conveying technical information clearly engage with different audiences and preparing comprehensive technical reports.
4. Proven experience in interpreting analyzing and applying applicable laws regulations policies and complex technical documentation.
5. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills including the ability to effectively manage and develop professional staff.
6. Comprehensive engineering expertise in water-related disciplines including civil sanitary environmental or chemical engineering.
Additional Considerations
1. Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) in Virginia preferred.
