Our Conservation Program Heritage and Regulation team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager Regional Delivery Coast Estuary and Flood to lead the regional delivery of coastal estuary and floodplain management programs across NSW. This role is part of the Marine Coast Estuary and Flood team and is responsible for managing geographically dispersed teams to deliver place-based projects and programs that support environmental outcomes and community resilience.

Youll work closely with councils emergency services and other stakeholders to ensure consistent high-quality service delivery aligned with government priorities. The role involves overseeing operational planning resource allocation performance monitoring and reporting while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

About You

Youre a seasoned leader with experience delivering environmental programs across coastal estuary and floodplain landscapes. Youve worked in regional or place-based contexts and understand the importance of balancing environmental priorities with community needs. You bring a strong grasp of government processes operational planning and program delivery and youre confident managing budgets performance and reporting requirements. Your ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and build strong relationships with councils emergency services and other stakeholders is key to your success.

Youre known for your practical approach clear communication and ability to navigate complex issues with confidence. You foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture and youre committed to delivering high-quality services that support resilience and sustainability across NSW. Whether managing projects advising senior leaders or working with local partners you bring integrity professionalism and a focus on outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in biodiversity/environmental science/environmental engineering or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Current NSW drivers license and ability and willingness to travel throughout the state when required
