Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design construction and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB CA F.E. Warren AFB WY Malmstrom AFB MT and Minot AFB ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nations aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Key Duties:
- Support the project engineering team to ensure overall inter-discipline coordination and quality of deliverables.
- Maintainproject engineering procedures and involvement with the project quality and corrective action programs.
- Performoverall engineering design and engineering tasks within a discipline having some degree of complexity.
- Participatein reviewing and checking designs drawings and data originated by other engineers or suppliers.
- Reviewmulti-discipline engineering deliverables to ensure cohesiveness coordination and quality.
- Coordinatequality reviews of deliverable packages before submission to the customer.
- Obtaininputs and technical information from senior engineers across multiple disciplines for use in completing tasks.
- Developand maintain project engineering procedures to ensure alignmentwith corporate procedures contract requirements and applicable codes and standards.
- Performself-assessments of the engineering department on adherence to the procedures.
- Developand presenttraining on procedures miscellaneous policies and instructions for engineering personnel.
- Identify prepare and reportproject engineering quality metrics and associated trends.
- Prepareand issueengineering quality reports.
- Presentquality reports to management and customer personnel.
- Participatein project quality surveillance and audits.
- CoordinateClosed-Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) program project initiatives with project engineering personnel.
- AttendCondition Report Review Committee (CRRC) meetings as the engineering point of contact.
- PromoteCondition Reporting and Lessons Learned programs available in the DevonWay (or similar) application.
- Monitortimely closure of engineering condition reports and associated actions.
- Communicatequality issues to the engineering team in the form of positive feedback and lessons learned.
- Coordinatewith engineering disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
- Coordinatewith client representatives as required.
- Leadsmall engineering task group(s) as required.
- Analyze processes and identify areas that can be improved.
- Maintain configuration management.
- Communicate changes to processes with the relevant engineers.
- Work as a part of a team to develop/optimize processes and procedures to meet the needs of the customer and ensure good quality.
RequirementsRequired Skills Experience and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid unexpired Real ID-compliant drivers license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- 5 or more years of experience working within a functional engineering discipline (electrical mechanical civil structural etc.) on the design of a large facility project such as industrial nuclear oil/gas and/or data centers.
- Prior experience in engineering for construction projects.
- Experience with quality assurance programs such as ISO-9001D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint etc.).
- High School diploma or equivalent and 9 or more years of related experience or Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline from an accredited course of study.
Desired Skills Experience and Education:
- Experience in procedure and/or instruction review and analysis.
- Experience working with government agencies preferably the Department of Defense.
- Familiarity with customer Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs) Engineering Department Procedure Instructions (EDPIs) design standards and guides and customer Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
- Knowledge of codes and standards pertinent to quality engineering.
- Experience in presentingtraining material.
- Previous employment with Bechtel or supporting Bechtel (subcontract).
- Current (Not Expired) Professional Engineers License.
