We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Manager Scientific Education you will be responsible for leading the Americas Medical Promotional review team and executing the medical strategy through medical review of advertising and promotional materials for Alcons therapeutic areas/domains. Responsible for therapeutic area assignments workflow management and training for medical reviewers. Responsible for the scientific accuracy clinical information and bio-statistical validity of content and claims in the promotional materials. Assure accuracy and compliance with labeling of promotional and advertising materials across all therapeutic areas. The position includes significant cross-functional engagement and collaboration with Global International and local marketing regulatory legal and compliance teams. This role is on-site in our Fort Worth Texas location and a typical day will include:
- Lead Americas medical promotional reviewer team to produce a adequately resourced high quality high value Medical AdPromo review function
- Manage team workflow and geographic and therapeutic area assignments
- Build strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Serve as the point of contact for Americas/International promotional review operations team for routine and escalated problem solving.
- Ensure medical review team is appropriately trained to undertake high quality and accurate review across relevant therapeutics areas.
- Work with cross-functional team supporting review of advertising and promotional materials and with Medical Director in assigned therapeutic areas to optimize effectiveness and mitigate risk of promotional claims.
- Manage and report MAP review Metrics to objectively support workflow and bandwidth management of team members.
What Youll Bring to Alcon:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 15 yrs; Assoc.11 yrs; M.S.4 yrs; PhD3 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
- 7 Years of Relevant Experience
- 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in life sciences or medical specialty
- OD M.D. or PhD.
- Bi-Lingual with English and Spanish.
- People leadership/management experience.
