About the Role
We are seeking a Criminal Defense Paralegal to join our Rolling Meadows office. This is an on-site administrative role not research-intensive ideal for someone who thrives on organization follow-through and efficient communication. Youll play a vital role in managing client files preparing discovery and supporting attorneys in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize client files from intake to resolution.
- Draft mitigation letters and assist with discovery organization.
- Coordinate with clients courts prosecutors and law enforcement agencies.
- Track and maintain case calendars and deadlines.
- Ensure accurate document filing correspondence and case progress tracking.
- Support attorneys in meeting KPI targets.
- Download organize and review physical discovery including video evidence
Qualifications
- 1 year of Paralegal Experience.
- Prior experience in criminal defense or litigation is a plus.
- Knowledge of Illinois criminal court procedures and e-filing systems preferred.
- Excellent communication organization and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
