Job Summary for Berkshire Health System:
- Position: Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Registered Nurse (Travel Assignment)
- Location: Berkshire Health System Massachusetts (Must live 50 miles away from facility)
- Unit Size: 20 34 beds (varies by unit)
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Dress Code: Personal scrubs (any color)
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
- Shift Requirements: Every other weekend; holidays as required
- On Call: None
- Holiday Coverage: Must work TWO of the following holiday periods:
- Thanksgiving & following weekend
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day & following weekend
- New Years Eve/New Years Day & following weekend
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years current Med-Surg experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Willingness to float to any Med-Surg unit (mandatory)
- Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly preferred
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- Certifications Required (Must be uploaded at submission):
- Massachusetts RN License (in hand not pending)
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- Vehicle: Must have own vehicle for assignment
- Compliance:
- COVID vaccination (dose after 10/3/23) or intent to submit exemption (with required signatures)
- Must wear mask if exemption is granted
- Submission Requirements:
- Permanent address included in profile
- Work history skills checklist (within 1 year) and 1 supervisory reference (within past 2 years)
- ALL requested time off (max 5 days) must be listed and verified at time of submission-no changes after submission
- At least TWO specific interview dates/times of availability must be provided (not anytime)
- Block Scheduling: Not permitted
- Other:
- Extensions ending in November or before December holidays are not eligible for early 2026 extension
- Scheduling requests after offer are not approved; must be included at submission
