Shift: 10-Hour Days (Mon Thu 12:30 PM 9:00 PM Fri 10:00 AM 7:00 PM)
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist under the general supervision of a Radiologist performs diagnostic radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider. This role is responsible for producing high-quality imaging studies in accordance with established protocols to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform radiographic procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Ensure proper patient identification safety and comfort throughout procedures.
Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to obtain optimal images for diagnosis.
Evaluate images for quality and completeness prior to submission for interpretation.
Maintain accurate patient records documentation and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during imaging procedures when necessary.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
Participate in quality assurance continuing education and departmental meetings as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience:

Less than 1 year of experience required.

Certifications / Licenses:

ARRT-R Radiography Certification (ARRT-R) - Required.
Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) - Licensed by the State of Texas - Required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Current certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
