CT Technologist (Permanent Role) - Location: Dallas TX 75246

- Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist under the general supervision of a Radiologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures on both ambulatory and inpatient populations as requested by a physician or other licensed provider. The technologist ensures the highest quality diagnostic imaging in accordance with established protocols and standards of patient care safety and radiation protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Ensure proper patient identification safety screening and positioning for all exams.
- Operate CT scanner and related imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review and evaluate images for quality accuracy and completeness before submission to Radiologists.
- Adhere to infection control radiation safety and patient confidentiality standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation patient records and imaging logs.
- Collaborate with Radiologists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Assist with training and mentoring of new staff as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain current knowledge of CT technology and best practices.
Education & Experience:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Experience: Prior CT Technologist experience preferred but not required.
Certification / Licensure / Registration:
- BLS Certification: Required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- ARRT Certification: Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT).
- State License: Must hold a valid Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license.
