Shift: Full-Time / Evenings (Thursday Friday Sunday 12:30 PM 1:00 AM)
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist under the general supervision of a Radiologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures on both ambulatory and inpatient populations as requested by a physician or other licensed provider. The technologist ensures the highest quality diagnostic imaging in accordance with established protocols and standards of patient care safety and radiation protection.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Ensure proper patient identification safety screening and positioning for all exams.
Operate CT scanner and related imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Review and evaluate images for quality accuracy and completeness before submission to Radiologists.
Adhere to infection control radiation safety and patient confidentiality standards.
Maintain appropriate documentation patient records and imaging logs.
Collaborate with Radiologists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Assist with training and mentoring of new staff as needed.
Participate in continuing education and maintain current knowledge of CT technology and best practices.

Education & Experience:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience: Prior CT Technologist experience preferred but not required.

Certification / Licensure / Registration:

BLS Certification: Required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
ARRT Certification: Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT).
State License: Must hold a valid Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license.
