Position Summary:
The Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating the care of patients with cardiac and telemetry needs. This role requires expertise in cardiac rhythm interpretation ECG monitoring and prompt response to acute patient changes. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced collaborative environment while maintaining composure under pressure and demonstrating advanced critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver both therapeutic and administrative nursing services to meet patient needs.
- Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms interpret ECGs and identify arrhythmias accurately.
- Intervene appropriately in emergency and life-threatening situations.
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with hospital policies procedures and professional standards.
- Provide compassionate care to patients aged 16 and older including young adult adult and geriatric populations.
- Manage the care of patients requiring step-down and continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Acquire and maintain advanced knowledge in psychosocial spiritual pathophysiological and therapeutic components of cardiac telemetry care.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to promote a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma ADN or BSN).
- Licensure:
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or
- Multistate Compact RN license (if residing in a participating compact state).
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 1 year of hire.
