Job Description:

The Tool Crib Technician is responsible for performing technical duties associated with SCMF Production tool crib.

Responsibilities:

Polish Tooling using a lathe
Mold various parts for Robot End of Arm tooling
Operate 3D Printers
Maintain tooling inventory for production manufacturing
Use Work Order Travelers to stage tooling for production
Maintain Production tools and equipment
Dimensionally inspect diameters of parts
Perform troubleshooting and diagnose assemblies for defects and repair
Rebuild mechanical assemblies
Ensure ability to: read blueprints and identify components
Maintain critical spare inventory for production facility equipment employee performs regular inventory counts
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Additional Responsibilities

Operate surface grinder to resurface scarred tooling
Operate hydraulic press for press fit assemblies

Experience and Skills

No prior tool crib experience required
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are important

Training

Training conducted on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift
NEST training completed in Houston area

Certifications

TWIC card is helpful for faster ATF processing but not a requirement
Tool crib at client functions more like an inventory warehouse than a traditional tool checkout station
