Title: Backend Developer (Java) 117644
About the Role
Were seeking a Backend Java Developer to join an enterprise engineering team focused on building scalable high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within distributed architectures and modern CI/CD environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable production-ready code.
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys solving complex problems writing clean and maintainable code and working in a fast-moving Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (version 17 or higher).
- Work with Spring Boot Maven/Gradle and related frameworks to deliver well-structured testable software.
- Implement and maintain integrations across distributed systems using event-driven architectures and messaging tools such as Kafka.
- Build and optimize data persistence layers using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Write and execute unit integration and contract tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
- Participate in CI/CD workflows-deploying monitoring and supporting services through automated pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues across multiple environments.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews with a focus on scalability performance and maintainability.
Qualifications
- 3 6 years of hands-on experience with Java 17 development.
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot Maven/Gradle and modern Java frameworks.
- Proven experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with Junit and consumer-driven contract testing practices.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving debugging and communication skills.
