Job Title: Network Automation Engineer
Location: Plano TX (Remote)
Duration: 6 months

We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing building and maintaining large-scale network automation frameworks and platforms to enable efficient secure and reliable network operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in network engineering automation using Ansible and Python CI/CD integration and cloud technologies like AWS and Kubernetes with a passion for delivering high-availability self-service network solutions.

Job Description:

As a Network Automation Engineer you will architect develop and maintain automation playbooks and frameworks that provision configure monitor and validate large-scale network infrastructures running on Arista EOS. You will collaborate with cross-functional development test and operations teams to build secure scalable automation systems that enhance speed reliability and visibility across the enterprise.

The Network Automation Engineer will design reusable frameworks using Ansible and Python implement network provisioning through REST OpenConfig and gNMI and integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab. You will also contribute to the creation of proactive monitoring dashboards and automated alerts for network observability.

The Network Automation Engineer will ensure operational excellence by establishing strong telemetry metrics and governance controls. This position requires hands-on expertise in DevOps distributed systems and network infrastructure automation with an emphasis on troubleshooting scalability and continuous improvement.

The Network Automation Engineer will also take ownership of deployment processes release management and incident resolution ensuring that business-critical network systems run efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement automation playbooks frameworks and test suites for Arista EOS-based network topologies.

  • Design and build greenfield automation solutions integrating network software and DevOps components.

  • Develop Ansible and Python-based reusable modules for network provisioning configuration and monitoring.

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD environments (Jenkins GitLab or Azure DevOps).

  • Implement automation for provisioning and validation using REST OpenConfig gNMI and Ansible.

  • Monitor executions analyze failures and produce actionable root cause analyses.

  • Build dashboards for proactive monitoring using Grafana Splunk or cloud monitoring tools.

  • Automate alerts notifications and daemon processes for predictive operations.

  • Leverage AWS services such as Lambda SNS SQS and deployment pipelines.

  • Manage and optimize Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments.

  • Ensure high performance availability and scalability of networked applications.

  • Collaborate on security controls standards and documentation across the SDLC.

  • Provide solution support configuration management and incident response.

  • Participate in shifts and weekend support rotations as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong background in network automation and DevOps.

  • Proficiency in Ansible Python and automation frameworks.

  • Experience with Arista EOS including provisioning and monitoring automation.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI/CD).

  • Experience with AWS Services (Lambda SNS SQS) and container technologies (Docker Kubernetes).

  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform CloudFormation Chef or Puppet.

  • Ability to design monitoring dashboards (Grafana Splunk etc.).

  • Excellent problem-solving debugging and root cause analysis (RCA) skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Willingness to work in shift-based schedules including weekends.
