L3Harris Communication Systems segment is seeking a Senior Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering Lead for the Next Generation Jammer-Low Band (NGJ-LB) program. This position reports directly to the Engineering Director/Chief Engineer of the NGJ-LB program.
Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for leading key system design efforts for the NGJ-LB program. Key responsibilities include detailed design of the mission processing mentoring other architects and developers model-based design planning of engineering efforts in an agile and earned-value process environment system-level hardware and software/VHDL testing metrics tracking & reporting and future related proposal efforts.
The NGJ-LB program will replace the Navys legacy ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System hosted on the EA-18G Growler aircraft. More details about the program can be found at the following link:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Broad understanding and experience in designing new electronic system development including all major aspects of Systems Engineering.
- Deep technical understanding of at least one discipline in the Electronic Warfare domain such as digital signal processing Software and VHDL development RF electronics and antennas.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical development efforts
- Highly organized with the ability to manage track and report relevant progress metrics.
- Experience identifying risks and proposing mitigations when necessary.
- Experience delivering highly technical messages/presentations communicating at the level of the audience.
- DoD proposal experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Model-based design experience preferably with SysML using Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Electronic Warfare or Sensor signal processing experience.
- Agile software development leadership experience.
- Experience leading development and integration test teams.
- Software or Hardware Description Language (HDL) design and development experience.
- Earned Value Management experience in both budgeting and schedule planning.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
