The Sales Engineer plays a key role in developing and maintaining customer relationships identifying new opportunities and ensuring successful project handover and execution.
Responsibilities
The role includes a blend of the following activities:
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities (hunter mentality) while nurturing long-term partnerships with existing clients. Prepare offers follow up on proposals and ensure seamless handover to the execution teams.
- Translate client needs into tailored technical and commercial solutions. Take proactive actions to safeguard project margins and deliver high-quality results that meet both customer and internal expectations.
- Monitor account receivables ensuring timely payments and healthy cash flow. Keep the CRM system (Salesforce) consistently updated and prepare regular sales and project performance reports.
Competences and Skills
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Background in electromechanical or industrial engineering.
- Experience in technical sales both in equipment and mounting activities.
- Solid project management and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Track record in technical sales or project-based environments.
- Fluency in Dutch French and English.
