JOB SUMMARY: Perform tasks necessary to maintain the Districts properties and equipment including the operation maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and equipment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain and repair heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and related controls; perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
2. Perform maintenance and repair tasks in various trades such as electrical welding plumbing carpentry painting masonry and other general maintenance work as assigned.
3. Perform preventative maintenance including maintenance and repair of automated digital and pneumatic temperature control systems plumbing systems and kitchen equipment.
4. Maintain existing electrical equipment; install additional electrical circuits and components.
5. Maintain faucets pipes plumbing fixtures; clear drains and make repairs as necessary.
6. Maintain all campus grounds with snow removal and salting as required.
7. Repair kitchen and refrigeration equipment including but not limited to freezers refrigerators ice machines and water coolers.
8. Maintain and repair door hardware including but not limited to locks closures and hinges.
9. Order and coordinate the pricing and installation of small equipment needing repair and/or replacement within the mechanical inventory.
10. Maintain service to fire alarm systems including but not limited to adding codes general maintenance and cleaning of detectors.
11. Perform various tasks as requested including but not limited to installation of classroom equipment hanging art work mounting white boards repairing furniture and casework repair.
12. Maintain and repair flooring and walls including but not limited to tile drywall plaster and block.
13. Maintain and repair various roofing systems including but not limited to rubber and metal.
14. Enter completed daily work orders into the TMA maintenance management system.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the District Maintenance Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent necessary

Vo-tech or trade school required

Experience in HVAC electrical plumbing & carpentry preferred

Ability to read and understand blueprints and work from drawings

Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code)

Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code)

FBI Criminal History Record

Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
