About the Role:As an Event Cashier you will be responsible for collecting parking fees from event attendees and delivering friendly efficient customer service to ensure a positive experience for all park visitors. This position may also assist in basic office tasks.

About the Team:The Event Cashier role in the Marymoor Business Unit is vital to upholding the parks strong reputation for exceptional customer service and smooth event operations. This position offers a unique blend of outdoor work and teamwork contributing to a shared mission of enhancing the park experience for all visitors.

As part of the Recreation Partnership and Property Management Section youll collaborate with a variety of teams to help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all park visitors. Your role in fee collection and customer service directly supports the broader mission of delivering an outstanding park experience to the community

Job Duties

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provide customer service to park customers via in-person email or phone.
  • Collect parking fees from vehicles entering assigned event parking lots.
  • Reconcile cash received for event parking against the value of parking tickets sold and justify any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile daily cash received and prepare deposit for banking.
  • Provide information on events or other park activities and services.

Experience Qualifications Knowledge Skills

Qualifications You Bring:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner with all park visitors.
  • Basic math skills with an understanding of general accounting procedures.
  • Demonstrated skill in providing and following oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining positive work relationships with co-workers.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft office.
  • Data entry experience desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires working long hours outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • This position requires the ability to stand for up to three hours at a time and walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Supplemental Information

Working Conditions:

  • Work Location:Marymoor Park 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE in Redmond WA.
  • Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is varied; primarily evenings and weekends depending on the event. Primary events occur January March and June September. All events are at Marymoor Park. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. This short-term temporary position is not benefits-eligible.
  • Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
