Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This Research scientist position involves analyses of brain signals using electroencephalography in animal models of temporal lobe epilepsy and the use of neurostimulation approaches. Specifically the position involves data acquisition using high density electrode arrays and processing of such recordings. Advanced neurofeedback protocols will be implemented along to test candidate therapeutic interventions to reduce seizures.

JOB DUTIES:

-Data collection and analyses of electrophysiology signals particularly high frequency oscillations
-Development and implementation of advanced signal processing tools
-Presentation of data in conferences
-Manuscript preparation and submission to scientific journals

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and two years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or masters degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Publications exemplifying expertise in brain disease the use of EEG and oscillations in epilepsy
Experience with coding and advanced signal analyses
Training in Neurology or related field with strong clinical applications

Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:
