Answer inquiries from airlines with regards to composites non-metals repairs and similar materials and processes
Revise material and process specifications as necessary for the continued production of spare parts
Conduct review and approve supplier composite and metal bondpart qualifications
Conduct composite and non-metallic materialqualifications to material and process specifications
Oversee failure analyses
Review documents and drawings to ensure the correct call out of materials and processes appropriate to a part or assembly
Uses project management tools to meet cost technical and schedule requirements
Incorporates environmental health and safety LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes (2) research design and qualification (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
Assists others in work statement assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry
1 years of experience with Composites and/or Non-Metallic Materials
Experience reading and interpreting drawings specifications material processes schematic and diagrams
Must be able to travel 10% of the time
Must be able to travel domestically and/or internationally on short notice
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2 years of experience in the aerospace industry
Bachelors degree or higher inchemical engineer or materialsengineering
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 3): $114750 - $155250
