Job Summary

ROLE: Implement and manage a Community Schools initiative in Tumwater School District. Case manage students & families and leverage partnerships to remove barriers for students success in school. Work in close collaboration with the Community Schools team school leadership teachers counselors and student support teams to ensure student success.

HOURS: Regularly 30 hours per week non-exempt. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required as well as some out-of-town travel.

COMPENSATION: $28-$30 per hour depending on qualifications. Eligible for competitive benefits package and generous paid leave.

LOCATION: Tumwater Middle School George Bush Middle School TOGETHER! Headquarters office.

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Tumwater Community Schools Program Director

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1.Work with school staff students parents community members and community agenciesto support students success in school. Develop and nurture relationships with thesesectors.

2.Create school needs assessment and school plan in collaboration with school leadershipand counselors. Design services around the assessment and plan.

3.Implement a menu of needs-driven high-quality programs and services in adherence withthe Community Schools Model including but not limited to expanded learningopportunities health services parent/family support & engagement adult educationdirect.

4.Support for both students and families with essential basic needs supports to include case management services; housing instability transportation assistance health insurance/government assistance navigation and referrals to community organizations

5.Leverage develop and/or strengthen and support programs that increase educationalopportunities and social connections for families and students both inside and outsidethe school system.

6.Case manage 20-30 students or households between service schools. Use the TOGETHER!referral form to connect and follow up use other data tracking systems to track studentprogress and keep data organized for reporting requirements.

7.Co-manage AmeriCorps service members interns and volunteers assigned to serve at thisprogram site if applicable. Participate in volunteer-recruitment efforts for sites needs.

8.Serve as direct supervisor for Community Schools program assistant(s) if applicable.

9.Manage a Community Resource Center in assigned program service building(s).

10.Generate support from in-kind donors to keep Community Resource Center stocked.

11.Serve as the point-person for agencies and programs interested in partnering with the school facilitate alliances and help to broker new partnerships with City agencies and non-profit partners that are aligned with the schools goals and needs.

12.Assist in student and family referral to community resources when needed.

13.Participate in school student intervention teams to strengthen wrap-around systems forstudent success.

14.Responsible for required community assessments data collection evaluation programplanning strategic planning adherence to the Community Schools model and reporting.

15.Other duties as assigned including performing own administrative work.

16.Attend agency training sessions and staff meetings.

17.Represent TOGETHER! and the Community Schools Program at events as needed.

18.Ensure implementation of policies adopted by TOGETHER!s Board of Directors.

19.Follow the TOGETHER! Employed Personnel Policies.

20.Regular travel in personal vehicle between program/partner sites in Tumwater SchoolDistrict TOGETHER!s Headquarters office and home office.

21.Regular operation of company van/vehicle in and around Tumwater and assignedprogram/partner sites.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
1.At least 18 years of age.
2.Bachelors degree in Health Science Community Health Education Social WorkPsychology Human Services or closely related field required.
3.CPR/First Aid certification and current Food Worker Card.
4.Good organizational problem-solving and written and oral communication skills.
5.Experience in administrative and other complex organizational tasks.

7.Acknowledgment and understanding of systemic oppression and a commitment tosystems change.

8.Experience in building and maintaining partnerships between community organizations.

9.Ability to act as a liaison between schools and community groups.

10.Ability to develop relationships relate to and motivate middle school aged students.

11.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

12.Willingness to follow agency and school-site policies and procedures.

13.Ability to work independently and as a team member balancing multiple tasks.

14.Demonstrated commitment to TOGETHER!s mission vision and core values.

15.Maintain a reliable personal vehicle liability insurance and insurable driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
1.Experience with case management models or direct client services or support.

2.Experience and knowledge of eviction prevention diversion rapid rehousing and other community resources (food medical language etc.)

3.Bilingual Spanish-English speaker.
