This position offers the unique opportunity to gain experience and knowledge within an inpatient outpatient and homecare setting.

As an Occupational Therapist youll:

• Direct patient care: continuous assessment of patient needs and functional deficits patient care/treatment on-going modifications to existing plan of care as needed ability to initiate appropriate referrals to other disciplines when needed
• Work closely with skilled and dedicated interdisciplinary team in order to maximize patient satisfaction and overall success based on diagnosis and comorbidities
• Apply clinical expertise as necessary including but not limited to family and staff education/training recommendations and guidance for safe and successful discharge supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant communicating with Physicians to ensure fluency of care
• Complete documentation which follows regulatory guidelines (state federal)

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Currently licensed to practice in State of MN. New graduates and temporary license holders are encouraged to apply
• Able to use theoretical knowledge in the rehabilitation of residents through therapeutic sessions.
• Ongoing attendance of educational seminars to maintain license(s) as required by practice acts for CEU credits.
• Must be patient and appreciative of realistic needs and goals of all clients.
• Genuine interest in persons with physical and psychological disabilities.
• Possess excellent interpersonal organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with members of the health care team clients residents families visitors vendors and all others that SLP would have interactions with.
• Must be able to follow Rehab policies and procedures as instructed and applicable to job responsibilities
• Must maintain work and client/resident confidentiality.
