Why Your Role Matters
The Training & Compliance Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance while driving the development and delivery of effective training programs across the Admissions Scholarships and RPL teams.
This role combines complianceexpertise leadership and instructional design tomaintainhigh professional standards and consistent practices within Admissions. Working closely with senior leaders project teams subject matter experts and business unitsyoulllead the planning design and implementation of change and training initiatives aimed at building staff capability improving student experience and driving operational excellence.
This position reports to the Head of Admissions Scholarships & PL and has one direct report.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the design delivery and evaluation of training programs for new and updated systems policies and procedures
Collaborate with managers team leaders and subject matter experts toidentifytraining needs and develop scalable solutions (e-learning workshops coaching)
Provideexpert advice to senior leaders on change and training strategies that support organisational priorities
Monitor and evaluate training outcomes and adoption rates using insights to enhance delivery and impact
Conduct regular compliance audits of admissions practices documentation and processesidentifyingrisks and recommending corrective actions
Develop andmaintainconsistent processes for admissions including document and records management in line with relevant policies
Design and deliver training programs covering compliance requirements ethical practices and professional conduct
Prepare reports and metrics to inform strategic planning and operational improvements
Provideaccuratepolicy advice and guidance to applicants and staff.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSWs vision and values and comes with:
Previousexperience designing and delivering training programs covering compliance/ethical practices
Demonstratedexperiencetraining leading and motivatingteams including those outside direct reporting lines
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Proven capacity to interpret and apply policy and procedures using sound judgement and initiative
Success working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders andmaintainingstrong internal and external networks
High-level computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Office applications
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday business successful person willbe requiredto work over the Christmas shutdown and occasionally be available after hours or during weekends.
