POSITION SUMMARY
IMC is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist Coordinator (ST Coordinator) to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Services team. Under the general supervision of the Director of Rehab Services the ST Coordinator will oversee the administration management and direct application of Speech-Language Pathology treatments and modalities as prescribed by referring physicians. Services are provided across inpatient outpatient and acute care settings with experience in modified barium swallow studies being highly recommend.
This position also includes leadership responsibilities for coordinating and managing all Speech Therapy (ST) staffing and scheduling. IMC offers a team-oriented environment with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance family commitments and professional development.
EDUCATION
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from an approved school.
LICENSURE
- Current valid SLP Licensure in Louisiana or a temporary permit granted by state board.
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- Successful completion of long term clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from accredited ST school or one year of recent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.
PRINCIPLE TASKS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate patients
- Treat patients
- Monitor and assess patients
- Supervise delivery of treatment topatients
- Reassess patients
- Assist Director of rehab withdevelopment and maintenance of Speech policies and procedures
- Assist with scheduling of patients
- Documentation of patient care
- Assist with daily operations ofoutpatient and inpatient rehab services
- Coordinates and schedule ST coveragethrough use of PRN or Contract services
