Key Responsibilities:
1) Leadership & Culture
Lead coach and mentor Sales F&I Service and Fixed Ops department leaders and teams
Cultivate a culture of accountability performance excellence customer service and team development
Recruit hire and retain top automotive talent
2) Sales Revenue & Profitability
Meet and exceed dealership sales volume gross profit net profit and market share objectives
Drive new and used vehicle sales growth and inventory performance
Manage inventory acquisition pricing strategies merchandising and lot performance
Optimize F&I product penetration profitability and compliance
3) Fixed Operations & Service Performance
Collaborate with the Service Director to improve service absorption RO count technician efficiency and customer satisfaction scores
Ensure alignment with OEM brand standards across Service and Parts departments
Increase customer pay revenue warranty retention and service upsell performance
4) Operational Excellence & Compliance
Oversee dealership P&L management forecasting budgeting expenses and financial controls
Ensure compliance with OEM state federal and environmental standards and regulations
Utilize CRM DMS and performance reporting platforms to enhance operations
Ensure operational excellence across sales processes BDC performance digital retailing and customer experience
Qualifications:
5 years of General Manager or General Sales Manager (GSM) experiencein a franchised automotive dealership
Import brand experience preferred; Volkswagen brand experience strongly valued
Proven record of driving elevated sales volume profitability and CSI performance
Demonstrated success leading Sales F&I Service and Fixed Ops teams
Strong financial acumen including P&L management budgeting forecasting and process improvement
Excellent leadership communication and coaching skills
Experience managing digital retailing customer experience and modern automotive retail strategies
