About the Role

As a Float Caregiver youll provide essential care and companionship to clients in their homes. Youll fill in when other caregivers are unavailabledue to vacations illness or last-minute call-offsand sometimes help with training or observations when client shifts arent available.

Youll be guaranteed full-time hours even if youre not scheduled with clients every hour. When not in the field youll assist with light office support training or shadowing new caregivers. Refusing or missing shifts will affect guaranteed hours.

Service Area

You must bewilling to travel up to 1.5 hours from Montpelier/Barre VT. We provide care across Central Vermont and mileage is reimbursed.

What Youll Do

• Provide personal care companionship and homemaking support
  
  

• Adapt quickly to new client needs and home environments
  
  

• Respond to shift requests with as little as 2 hours notice (during availability window)
  
  

• Communicate regularly with our scheduling team
  
  

• Assist with non-client tasks (training caregiver observations office support) as needed

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday between 6:30 AM 6:00 PM
  
  

• Guaranteed up to 40 hours/week
  
  

• No Sundays late nights or holidays required (but optional)

Requirements

• At least 6 months of care giving experience (home care private duty or facility)
  
  

• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
  
  

• Able to travel within a 5075 mile radius of Montpelier/Barre
  
  

• Clear communication skills and adaptability
  
  

• Pass background check and provide references
  
  

• 6-month minimum commitment required
  

Important Notes

Must accept available shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM Monday to Saturday unless excused for a pre-approved reason (illness emergency or pre-discussed conflict).
