Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedics Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team at Sentara Southern Virginia Orthopedics located in South Boston Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an established outpatient orthopedic practice providing comprehensive care to patients alongside an experienced team of orthopedic surgeons and healthcare professionals.

Position Highlights

Schedule: MondayFriday 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (Friday until 4:00 p.m.)
Setting: 100% outpatient orthopedic practice
Call: No call responsibilities
Procedures: Injections and incision & drainage (I&D)
Responsibilities include:
- Working under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons to deliver specialized patient care
- Performing pre-operative and post-operative assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for orthopedic patients
- Educating patients and families about orthopedic conditions procedures and recovery plans
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as appropriate
- Demonstrating strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
