Investigator 4 located in Anchorage!

This position is in the Supervisory Unit (SS) at a Range 20.


What You Will Be Doing:
Under the general direction of the Program Manager Investigator 4 serves as the senior-level lead for the Wage and Hour program overseeing the execution of civil and criminal Wage and Hour investigations statewide. This position monitors the quantity quality and outcomes of investigations provides compliance awareness and training and employs trains and evaluates section staff. Investigator 4 directly supervises and supports three regional Investigator 3 supervisors.

This position also assists the Program Manager with legal analysis identifying areas where regulatory change is needed composing statutory and regulatory drafts developing and implementing policies and procedures and contributing to the programs short- and long-term strategic planning.

The Investigator 4 position serves as the lead for all Wage and Hour court cases working with an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Special Prosecutions and Appeals in Anchorage. Investigator 4 also leads all complex investigations within the program.

This position is located at 1251 Muldoon Road Suite 113 Anchorage Alaska. The work environment consists of a statewide multi-disciplinary team focusing on labor law enforcement including but not limited to the enforcement of public construction prevailing wages minimum wage and overtime enforcement and child labor enforcement.
