About the area

The Implementation Support Team is responsible for the coordinated establishment of the University of Western Australia (UWA) India campus. This team oversees the planning integration and delivery of academic programs student services and operational functions to ensure the successful setup of a fully integrated and high-performing international branch campus. The work area ensures alignment across curriculum development academic governance student experience infrastructure finance people and culture IT and compliance. It fosters collaboration accountability and continuous improvement across all streams with a strong focus on delivering academic quality regulatory compliance and strategic outcomes. The team also manages the transition from implementation to steady-state operations ensuring a seamless handover to ongoing campus leadership.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the Implementation Support Team to establish UWA India ensuring readiness compliance and alignment with UWAs strategic goals.
  • Coordinate academic and operational streams to deliver a cohesive campus managing interdependencies and enabling informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Australia and India oversee performance and ensure a smooth transition to steady-state operations.

About you

  • Proven senior leadership experience in a large complex or cross-border organisation preferably within higher education or international operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive integration across academic operational and enabling functions to deliver major establishment or transformation programs.
  • Extensive experience in institutional or campus establishment including planning sequencing and coordination of multiple interdependent workstreams through to operational readiness.
  • Strong understanding of higher education governance quality assurance and regulatory frameworks (e.g. TEQSA AQF or international equivalents) and the ability to apply these in an international or transnational context.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior university leaders regulators government and external partners across diverse cultural contexts.
