About the role
We are seeking an experienced and analytically strong Credit Portfolio Management Associate to join our investment team. The successful candidate will support the Credit Portfolio Manager in managing and optimising a diversified credit portfolio that allocates to external managers. The role combines fundamental credit and macro insights with tactical asset allocation across liquid credit markets focusing on generating consistent alpha while maintaining portfolio integrity and benchmark discipline.
This position is ideal for candidates with around three-five years of experience in credit research and/or multi-manager investing who brings a solid understanding of credit markets an interest in insurance asset management and a desire apply their skills to long-term investing.
Responsibilities
- Support tactical allocation decisions across liquid credit markets with active cross-currency views across multi-asset fixed income
- Provide fundamental credit inputs into bespoke liability-optimised benchmarks that aim to generate consistent alpha across corporate and sovereign credit exposures.
- Maintain and update credit watch lists monitor single-name risks and highlight portfolio-level exposures.
- Perform single name deep-dives and sector reviews to identify risks opportunities and concentrations.
- Collaborate with external managers to assess positioning performance drivers and strategy alignment.
- Conduct fixed income performance attribution to evaluate alpha sources sector rotation and manager performance.
- Prepare investment materials and presentations for investment committees.
Role Requirements
- Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years experience in credit research or investment strategy roles.
- Strong understanding of corporate and sovereign credit fundamentals including relative value and macro-credit linkages.
- Prior exposure to multi-manager or fund allocation processes advantageous.
- Strong academic background in finance economics or a related quantitative or analytical discipline.
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis attribution and presentation.
- Familiarity with LSEG Workspace Bloomberg and other financial data tools.
- Understanding of attribution methodologies (carry spread curve FX and sector allocation).
- Experience with Python SQL or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Comfort handling and interpreting large financial datasets.

- Clear communicator capable of synthesising complex investment insights.
- Collaborative and proactive team player.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced investment environment.
