(Senior) Construction Manager Data Centre Construction

We are seeking a (Senior) Construction Manager to lead our data centre construction projects in Barcelona Spain. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the development of cutting-edge data centre facilities ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality efficiency and reliability.  As part of the strategic partnership between CBRE and Turner & Townsend this role will be based within CBRE Project Management S.A.

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of data centre construction projects spending significant time on-site supervising contractors and ensuring high production volume.
• Verify project development according to plans and specifications supporting the MEP team and acting as a construction liaison for designers and planners.
• Manage project logistics security and fire safety coordinating with the Operator and maintaining direct contact with the Project Management team.
• Conduct regular construction coordination meetings issuing minutes and approving construction sequences and methods with the planner.
• Oversee contractor performance including progress monitoring quality plan verification and package requirement enforcement.
• Review and process construction Change Orders and operation and maintenance manuals.

Qualifications :

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 10 years experience in construction management focusing on data centre projects
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget
• In-depth knowledge of data centre design mechanical and electrical systems and high-voltage electrical substations
• Strong project management skills including scheduling budgeting and resource allocation
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities to manage diverse teams effectively
• Proficiency in project management software and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of construction industry health and safety regulations and sustainable practices
• Fluency in English and Spanish is essential
